“Bringing Immigration Lessons to the Classroom”
Venue: Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida 33431

Following up on a documentary presentation, titled “Mojados: 5 Guys,” in which a journalist tells the story of 5 men who attempt to cross the Mexico-U.S. border illegally, Becker & Associates’ attorneys Brian G. Becker and Lauren Levy will answer a broad range of questions related to topical immigration issues, as well as dispel prevailing myths about immigrants, especially regarding their education and financial status.
We will provide updates regarding DACA, Trump’s travel ban, and meaningful information about revocation of citizenship, ICE and deportation, as well as other contemporary issues that may be of concern to students in this class on U.S. Immigration. We anticipate a lively, informative session.

At the invitation of Temple Shir Shalom in Gainesville, Florida, Brian Becker and Lauren Levy will host a Q & A session to shed light on topical immigration issues, policies and politics of immigration law to highlight pathways for the Temple’s social action committee to get involved and help those affected by changes in immigration policy.
